The most recent addition to Google Cloud’s text-to-image capabilities is Imagen 2.
Imagen 2, which is accessible to Vertex AI customers on the allowlist, lets users create and share photorealistic photos with easy-to-use tools and fully-managed infrastructure.
Imagen 2, which was created using Google DeepMind technology, provides enhanced image quality along with a variety of features designed for particular use cases.
Some of Imagen 2’s salient features are:
Variety in picture generation: Imagen 2 is excellent at producing high-quality images from natural language prompts that meet a range of user needs.
Text rendering in several languages: Imagen 2 offers precise text rendering in multiple languages, overcoming common issues.
Logo creation: Companies can use Imagen 2 to make a range of imaginative and lifelike logos, which they can then superimpose on merchandise, apparel, business cards, and other items.
Detailed answers to questions regarding image elements and the generation of meaningful captions are made easier by Imagen 2’s sophisticated image understanding capabilities.
Support for several languages: Imagen 2 offers support in preview for six more languages, with plans to add more in early 2024. One aspect of this is the ability to translate between output and prompt.
Safety precautions: Imagen 2 complies with Google’s Responsible AI guidelines by integrating built-in safety features. To guarantee responsible use, it incorporates safety filters and works with a digital watermarking service.
Built to enterprise standards, Imagen 2 on Vertex AI provides similar governance and dependability to its predecessor. Imagen 2 intends to give organizations a complete tool for creative image development with additional features such enhanced text rendering, high-quality image rendering, logo generation, and safety precautions.
Prominent corporations such as Canva, Shutterstock, and Snap have already adopted Imagen for artistic intent.
“We exist to empower the world to tell their stories by bridging the gap between idea and execution,” said Chris Loy, Director of AI Services at Shutterstock.
We continue to include the newest technology into our editing and image generation tools because variety is essential to the creative process—as long as the technology is based on data that has been sourced ethically.
“We’re continuing to use generative AI to innovate the design process and augment imagination,” said Danny Wu, Canva’s head of AI.
“Our 170 million+ monthly users can enhance their content creation at scale with Imagen’s image quality improvements.”
Organizations are urged to investigate Imagen 2’s possibilities as it creates waves in the creative sector. Google Cloud hopes that users will take advantage of the additional features to further their artistic endeavors and build upon Imagen’s success.
