Adobe Lightroom has unveiled a new tool for its photo editor, Lightroom, that claims to make removing undesired components from photographs easier. This new program, “Generative Removal,” is based on artificial intelligence and is now in the public beta testing stage.

The tool will be available across all Lightroom platforms, including mobile, desktop, and online.

Generative elimination replaces undesirable components seamlessly using Adobe’s AI model, Firefly. The method is simple: the user paints over the region to be deleted, and Lightroom sends the information to Adobe’s Firefly servers for processing.

This procedure takes no more than a few seconds, however the pace may vary depending on your internet connection.
